THE BLIND BLAKE

Hauver’s handmade replica of the Blind Blake (Concert) Guitar is smaller than the Charlie Patton (Grand Concert) with a scale length that is proportioned to its body. Its bridge is located in the belly of the guitar and works the top like a speaker diaphragm delivering a rich and balanced sound. Arthur “Blind” Blake ranks among the most accomplished “rag” and blues guitarists of all time. His polished technique and improvisations attracted many imitators, but none could do it as well.

See Toby Walker play the “Blind Blake” on YouTube.
